glossary of terms
death games: a game in which death is on the line. can be as informal as "throw everyone in an enclosed space with weapons" (commonly called a battle royale) or as formal as "providing people with a strict set of rules governing when and how they die". i have a preference for the rules-heavy ones, but i like them all.
idiots only event: from the anime mob psycho 100. an event by idiots, for idiots. used here to reflect a preference for stories where everyone is stupid and makes dumb mistakes and has big emotions.
mind dungeons: any time a character's internal state - be it memories, thoughts, emotions, or dreams - becomes supernaturally physicalized into a space that can be interacted with.
teaching a robot how to love: a trope name for a non-human character (or a human character who has, for whatever reason, decided to detatch themselves from humanity) pursuing the goal of becoming more in touch with humanity, interally and/or externally.
